Tully Park
Tully Park is located in central Meridian, west of Idaho, USA. The park is established on the land of 18.67 acres, offering a diverse range of activities for kids and adults both. The highlight of the park is the skateboarding area where beginners and intermediate skateboarders can improve their stance, balance, rolling, and tick-tacking. Tully Park opens daily from 6 am to 10 pm, making it a perfect place for those trying to work out a regular exercise schedule.
At Tully, the trail starts at a little bridge over a canal, and it ends with a straightforward turnaround and returns trip. The best bit is that a local park with a playground is located halfway down the walk.
A well-maintained pavement connects the park in all dimensions with scattered shades and a grassy open field alongside. Following the walking trail will lead you to picnic shelters with tables and chairs that you can rent for a family gathering or get-together.
Then comes the baseball and soccer fields which are big enough for everyone to play. Parents can invigilate their children while chilling on the shaded benches or grass and have a peaceful time for themselves in the fresh air.
Keep walking and you will come across a workout area with eight machines, dumbbells, and bars to stretch out a little after a jogging session. The area should be fenced so that children don’t hurt themselves while mishandling the gears.
Next comes two playgrounds for toddlers and kids respectively. They are established on a clean landscape with a beautiful view and breezy evenings. Swingsets, tunnel slides, and other playsets keep children busy. Benches along the parameters of the playground are a great comfort for parents watching their kids.
The drinkable water fountain is a blessing in summers and adds a vibrant and lively touch to the place. Talking about beating the heat, the lovely shaved ice stand serves toothsome ice shavings that no one can resist.
One of the highlights of Tully Park is the paved pathway on the west end, which follows the open canal eastward to the next thoroughfare, which is located over two miles ahead.
Tully Park is big enough for everyone to accommodate everyone playing various sports or walking their dogs. Families and groups may come together and BBQ in Meridian's fresh air at a few lovely covered locations with tables and grills.
Picnic shelters, restrooms, and vendor shops provide for all the basic necessities within a few meters radius. Adults can find amusement in concession stands, bike racks, monuments, and memorials scattered throughout the 18 acres of land.
Tully Park has a concrete skateboarding course with ramps for kids and adults both. Professional skateboarders might not find it enough but beginners can surely give it a whirl and take a few falls to learn skateboarding in a controlled environment.
Basketball and baseball courts are typically bustling in the evenings, otherwise, you will find only a few people in the park on weekdays. Parking space is limited but a lot of construction work is in progress to improve the park in all aspects.
